matte finish leaves photos dull

I am disappointed that the matte finish makes my photos look dull on the Christmas cards. When I ordered glossy finish, I found that the inside of the card was also glossy, making it difficult to write inside the card.

A few technical factors can sometimes cause colour shifts between the digital preview and the printed result. Matte paper can naturally soften or mute colours, and the conversion from RGB (screen colours) to CMYK (print colours) may also influence how tones appear once printed. In some cases, the file format or resolution can affect how fine details and gradients come through.
To achieve more accurate tones, we suggest updating your artwork using CMYK colour codes. If you’d like a colour to appear more vibrant, lowering the amount of Black (K) in the mix can help, though adjustments may be needed across several colours to maintain balance.
To help us determine whether this was due to these common variables or a production issue, we kindly ask that you share clear photos of the cards you received. This will allow our quality team to compare the printed result with your design file and identify the best solution.
With regards to glossy paper stock, this option typically produces sharper, more vibrant colours for photo‑based designs, while offering a slick front and silky back/inside surface for easier writing. The layout of the Christmas cards came as I had laid the pictures out in the template. The colors weren't as vibrant as I expected as the photos were from a professional photographer.
I am not sure why that was but they were otherwise very good.

I am very disappointed in the cards. They look cheap and dark. The message inside is so small I needed glasses to read it. I buy calendars every year from you and was always very happy. I would never order cards again. . Very disappointed.
