Crooked hanging gear, black spot on white matte

Hi, I would like to discuss how I can either have a refund or have this picture redone. I invested in vistaprint because I was impressed by their other products but the picture had a black spot in the white matte around and the hanging gear was placed crooked so the picture hangs crooked.

Too dark, crooked, poor quality.

Ordered a picture for my grandpa birthday. It was very dark even though the digital version i approved was lighter. You can barely see the people in the background. Secondly it was placed in the frame crooked. It was made difficult by the company stapling instead of hooks. Had to trim the paper to level it out. Overall terrible quality not checked by a person before sending it out.

We want you to feel awesome about your artwork, so we’ve rounded up our top pointers for designing a framed photo print you’ll be excited to show off.

Use high-res images: Upload high-resolution photos for your framed print (we recommend images with at least 300 dpi). This will give you the sharpest prints possible.

Avoid white margins: To prevent margins in your framed picture, be sure to match the shape of your photo to the orientation of the print.

Pick the right frame: When choosing a frame, consider whether its colour and overall look complements your image and the space it will hang. If you’re unsure which frame to try, check out our suggestions below!

Make it personal: Adding a name, date or monogram to your print makes it feel truly one of a kind. We offer dozens of templates that allow you to add your personal touch to your image.

Add a mat: Accenting your print with a mat is an easy way to make it feel elevated (please note that mats are not available for all frames).

Each of our framed photo prints is carefully constructed as a cohesive, all-in-one piece, with backing that’s specifically fitted to the frame. As a result, we do not recommend replacing the photo – removing the backing may damage the frame or print.

Our prints are featured on high-quality matte paper for a classic look. The frame is made of medium density fiberboard and comes with an acrylic cover to keep your image in place.

Choosing the right frame for your framed photo print has a lot to do with personal preference and style. To help you decide, we’ve rounded up a few suggestions for our different frame styles.

White (Classic or Premium): An all-around great option for a variety of spaces, especially if you prefer a modern look. Recommended for minimalist prints, light-toned photos and black and white images.

Black (Classic or Premium): A versatile pick for contemporary and traditional spaces alike, we suggest this option for images with high contrast as well as black and white photos.

Walnut (Class or Premium): With its warm feel, walnut looks great in traditional rooms full of rich textures and colours. Pair it with nature photography, warm-toned portraits and vintage-inspired art.

Rustic: Great for cottage-inspired homes and country-style decor, our rustic option goes wonderfully with vintage art, nature scenes and family photos.

Gold: Giving a more upscale feel, this option is great for those who love a more glam look. Try it for wedding photos, portraits and colourful art.

Champagne: A wonderful addition to chic spaces or more traditional decor, champagne frames complement bright prints and black and white pictures beautifully.

Your framed prints will arrive with a built-in hanger at the back for easy installation. Follow the directions below to get your print hung in no time:

How to hang your print:

  • Make sure your print is level
  • Mark your wall where you’d like to hang your print
  • Hammer a nail into your wall marking
  • Hang the back of your print onto the nail

We recommend uploading high-resolution photos for your framed print. High-res photos will give you the sharpest prints possible. Also, don’t forget to match the shape of your upload to the orientation of the print – doing so helps you avoid any white margins.

We offer a white mat on our premium walnut, premium black, premium white, rustic, gold and champagne frames. If you prefer our standard frame styles but still want the look of a mat, you can get your image printed with a white border.

Note: Adding a printed border will slightly reduce the size of the actual photo image. Border and mat measurements vary depending on the print size and frame style. See below for details.
