I found them flimsier than I thought they would be. I think the canvas ones might be better. Colours are good but for the price I don't think they are worth getting more made.

To provide some clarity, our standard Cotton tote bags are indeed a softer, more flexible option. They are made with a looser weave and thinner, single-strand yarns. You are absolutely right that the canvas ones would likely be a better fit for your needs. Our canvas totes are made from a tighter, coarser weave of cotton fabric using thicker, multi-strand threads, which gives them the sturdier, more substantial feel you were looking for. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as it helps other customers make the best choice for their needs.
