  • Sturdy 16pt paper
  • Square & rounded corner upgrades
  • Single- & double-sided printing options

Slightly coarse, totally different

As soon as you hold a fine grit business card, you’ll notice the texture. The lamination is like a very light sandpaper that just catches your fingers a bit, without being uncomfortable in any way. In fact, it’s surprisingly satisfying, making the cards hard to put down. Pair the unique feel with a smooth matte look and you’ve got an unexpected and memorable way to get customers’ attention.

Tactile & tough

Beyond the wow factor of texture, fine grit paper is also one of our most durable, long-lasting options. The lamination coats the paper in a thin, protective layer that prevents smudges and keeps your cards looking great in almost any conditions. (And fingerprint-free, no matter how many hands they pass through). They’re built to go anywhere – and take your business to new places, too.

Design Issue with Gold Text Visibility

Sep 18, 2025 | METI H. | Verified Buyer
I recently ordered Fine Grit Business Cards and chose the golden color for my brand name and phone number. Unfortunately, the print came out very faint and barely visible, which makes the important details hard to read. Could you please review this and let me know if a replacement with a stronger color option is possible? Thank you.
Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:

Excellent “Fine Grit” Card

Jul 23, 2025 | Matthew Z. | Verified Buyer
These cards are very nice and rigid. I get lots of compliments. The texture is interesting and a nice subtle marketing perk that makes it remarkable. The only unusual thing about this order was that my 1000 cards weirdly came in 20 separate little boxes. I fit them all into 8 little boxes, so there was a lot of waste for nothing. The cards from different boxes were also cut differently, with some being slightly shorter than others. I accept this perhaps had to do with the printing process and this being a new type of card.
Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:
We are happy you are pleased with the quality of the business cards. We regret any inconvenience caused by the packaging of the cards. We try our best to package items in ways that will prevent damage during shipping. Regarding the cut of some of the cards, we'd love to review them and make things right, so please reply to this email/message with pictures displaying your concern and also state the number of cards that were affected. We look forward to hearing from you.

Fine grit cards

Jul 21, 2025 | Devin R. | Verified Buyer
The fine grit isn't really what I expected, it feels a little bit like a cheap plastic card but the service was great, printing was great and they arrived on time. I'll definitely re order but likely a different finish.

Good Quality Paper, Not Great Printing

Jun 26, 2025 | C. C. | Verified Buyer
I'm happy with the quality of the paper. My cards are meant to mimic a retro postcard, and while I'm happy with how they turned out, the front and back is misaligned and not centred. In the preview, where I confirmed how my cards were meant to be laid out, I perfectly centered my images. When I received them, the front cover image isn't centred and neither is the back of my card. The previews of how my cards should look do not match how they were printed. I'm glad I only paid for 40 cards. I'll be printing my next batch of cards locally as Vistaprint obviously doesn't care about the quality of their work.
Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:

Satisfactory

Jun 20, 2025 | Craig M. | Verified Buyer
The grit feels cheaper than I expected, and makes the printing less clear than other products I've received from vistaprint.
Response from Vistaprint Customer Care Team:

We understand how important it is for every detail to reflect the quality you expect and deserve. We’d love the opportunity to take a closer look and work toward a resolution. If possible, please reply with clear photos highlighting the concerns about the material and printing quality. Frequently asked questions

Fine grit business cards (also known as sandpaper business cards) are made from thick paper stock, with a synthetic lamination over it. This is what creates the slightly coarse, sand-like texture.

Our fine grit paper is 16pt, somewhat thicker than a typical business card. To give you a frame of reference, each point (pt) is equal to 0.001 of an inch.

Not at all! The cards feel like fine sand, and while they will catch your fingers as you touch them, it’s not rough or abrasive in any way.

No, we can't add special finishes to the fine grit lamination. But this special texture is designed to stand out on its own!
