Lawn Signs

Yes. Our lawn signs are printed on 4 mm UV-resistant corrugated plastic, built to withstand rain and snow for around 1 year outdoors. They work just as well indoors – think storefronts, lobbies, trade shows and events.
We haven't done specific wind testing, so the best way to protect your sign in windy conditions is to make sure it's securely anchored in a stand – available to add before checkout. During severe weather, we recommend bringing your sign inside.
For even more protection, add a scratch-resistant glossy coating before checkout – it enhances colour vibrancy and helps your sign hold up longer in the elements.

Stands aren't included, but you can add one at checkout.

• Wire yard sign stand– our most affordable option, great for short-term use
• Plastic yard sign stand – offers a more polished look
• Premium wire stand– built from thicker, heavier steel for longer-lasting durability

For our 3 largest sizes – 48" x 48", 48" x 72" and 48" x 96" – we recommend U-Channel posts. Added grommets? You can also pick up nylon rope for hanging at checkout.

If you have your lawn sign and a stand ready, you can set up an outdoor display in 90 seconds or less. Here’s how:

1. Prep: Unfold the metal prongs on the top of your stand, so that they are sticking straight up.

2. Stake: Line up the stand and put your foot on the crossbar. Push down until the stand is 5” in the ground.

3. Attach: Put the stand prongs into holes along the sign’s bottom edge. Make sure the sign is centred.

4. For larger sizes: For 48" x 48", 48" x 72" and 48" x 96" sizes, purchase wooden or U-Channel sign posts at your local hardware store and anchor them into your yard. Then, attach your lawn sign to the posts using screws or nails.

Since these sizes are so large, we score and fold them so they’re easy to pack and ship. You’ll be able to easily unfold them to their original width.

We also don’t recommend hanging these larger sizes. Instead, get U-Channel sign posts here or purchase wooden sign posts at your local hardware store and anchor them into your yard. Then, attach your lawn to the posts using screws or nails.

Yes. For an additional charge, you can upgrade your sign to include double-sided printing. Just note – if your design has arrows or anything that faces a specific direction, you'll want to flip it before checkout. This applies whether you're customizing one of our templates or uploading your own design.

Here are a few things to keep in mind before you finalize your design:

Readability first: Keep your message short and easy to read from a distance. Use a large, clean sans-serif font with bold, high-contrast colors so your sign stands out from the road or sidewalk.

Use dark backgrounds: We recommend using bold, dark backgrounds because the 4 mm corrugated plastic is slightly hollow – in bright conditions, light can pass through and make the reverse side partially visible. Dark backgrounds help minimize this effect.

Color accuracy: Design files are typically created in RGB color mode, but our printers use CMYK. This means colors may shift slightly between what you see on screen and the finished print. For the most accurate results, convert your file to CMYK before uploading. Note that exact color matches cannot be guaranteed.

Image resolution: Make sure any images are high resolution (at least 300 dpi) so they print sharp and clear.

Yes. If you already have a design ready, upload it before checkout and we'll handle the yard sign printing from there.

For the best print quality and editing flexibility, we recommend PDF (.pdf), Adobe Illustrator (.ai) or Adobe Photoshop (.psd) files. JPG and PNG work too, though they come with more limited editing options. Whichever format you choose, high-resolution files (at least 300 dpi) converted to CMYK color mode will give you the sharpest results.

Want to see your design in print first? Select "Yes" under "Is this a sample?" and for $0.99 plus shipping we'll print your design with a "Sample" watermark across it. Samples come in 18" x 24" or 12" x 18", rectangular and single-sided.

That depends on the delivery speed you pick at checkout. Rush arrives in 2 business days, express in 3, standard in as soon as 6 and economy in 8. For 2-day rush delivery, make sure to reselect "Rush" under Shipping Methods at checkout.

Clean sans-serif fonts are your safest bet. They stay legible from a distance, which matters when a passing car gives you about three seconds. Bold or heavy weights read better than light ones, especially against the dark backgrounds we recommend.

A few rules of thumb: stick to 1 or 2 fonts per sign, keep your main message to a handful of words and size it as large as your layout allows. Save script and decorative fonts for smaller signs people will walk right up to.
