Flexible options for any product
Choose from 4 plastic finishes: white matte, white gloss, frosted or clear. White plastic tags can be printed on both sides, while frosted and clear tags are printed on one side only. With 5 sizes and 4 shapes, you can find the right fit for any product, from apparel to home decor. (Unsure about size? Our 2" x 3" option is a versatile pick that works for a variety of products.) All tags also come with a fixed 0.15" hole at the top center, ready for stringing with our 2mm jute or cotton string (sold separately).
Easy to customize & attach
Creating your custom hang tags is simple. Pick your material, shape and size, then upload your artwork or use our design tools to personalize your tags. Then add them to your cart – that’s it. And if you’re looking to design an extra large batch, don’t sweat it. Quantities for plastic swing tags start at just 25 and go up to 5000, ideal for small and bulk orders alike.
White plastic tags can be printed on both sides, while frosted and clear tags are printed on one side only.
We recommend a thinner style string or fastener, specifically one with a diameter of 3.2mm-3.5mm (though smaller is ideal). We sell 2mm cotton or jute string separately, which you can add to your cart before checkout. Each is 23' long and can be cut for about 50 tags.
Need a different fastener? Standard metal snap hooks, plastic price tag fasteners and safety pins all work, too (available in bulk from retail supply stores).
All hang tags come with a fixed .15" hole, centered .15" from the top.
White plastic hang tags have a 22pt thickness. Clear and frosted have a 24pt thickness.
Yes, these tags are fully waterproof, scratch-resistant and remain durable in high temperatures.
Thread string or ribbon through the hole and tie to the garment, most often at the sewn-in label or waistband, or attach them to a pin.
We offer 5 sizes, listed below:

Printing these details can vary based on the tag size you’re interested in. As a rule of thumb, we don’t recommend adding barcodes or sequential numbers to our 2” x 2” or 2.4” x 2.4” tags. These are our smallest sizes and their square layout isn’t ideal for horizontal barcodes and sequential numbers. Barcodes also require about 2" of space to be scannable. That said, these sizes can accommodate a QR code if the code is paired with minimal copy.
Here are some other helpful tips:
- Use high contrast colours: Avoid printing QR codes and barcodes over dark shades or detailed background art.
- Be mindful of placement: QR codes, barcodes, etc. should not be placed close to safety lines or the tag’s hole. Leave a buffer of at least 0.125" to 0.33".
- Pay attention to sizing: For scannability, we recommend QR codes measure at least 0.5" x 0.75". Bar codes require about 1.5" width and a height of at least 0.3"–0.5". Numbers should be 6-8pt, but 8-10pt is better if room allows.
- Scan a printed proof: You can download a PDF proof of your tag’s design and scan it to ensure functionality.
