Before you submit your tax-exemption request, make sure the name on your VistaPrint account matches your tax-exempt certificate.
How to register your tax-exempt status with VistaPrint
Verify your information
Make sure the name on your VistaPrint account matches your tax-exempt certificate, not an individual’s name.
Prepare your proof of tax-exempt status
Obtain a valid tax-exemption certificate signed and dated within the last year (if applicable), or equivalent proof. We do not accept sales tax permits, articles of incorporation, tax licenses or IRS determination letters.
If your certificate requires a vendor address, use: 275 Wyman Street, Waltham, Massachusetts 02451, USA
For customers in Colorado: Include a Standard Municipal Home Rule Affidavit of Exempt Sale along with your exemption for each order.
Submit your documentation
Email ExemptSalesTax@vista.com with:
The email address for your VistaPrint account
A non-editable copy of your tax-exemption certificate
Confirmation and activation of tax-exempt status:
The team will review your tax documentation and get back to you within 3 to 5 business days. Once your tax-exempt documentation is approved, you won’t need to resubmit it for future orders until it expires. Your exemption will last until the expiration date on your certificate. If your certificate doesn’t list an expiration date, your account will be tax-exempt for one year.
Need a tax refund for a past order?
If you placed an order before your tax-exempt status was approved, you’ll need to request a tax refund from your local tax office. You can find state or provincial details on your government’s website.
