Yes, you can print on the front, back and the flap area. Back side printing has an additional cost at checkout.

How much do the mailer bags weigh?

The mailer bag weight is based on size and gusset (the depth of the bag’s base when open) options: - 6" x 9": 0.18 oz. - 12" x 9.5": 0.39 oz. - 12" x 9.5" with 3" gusset: 0.49 oz. - 4.25" x 12": 0.55 oz. - 4.25" x 12" with 4” gusset: 0.75 oz. - 19" x 13.5": 0.81 oz. - 19" x 13.5" with 4" gusset: 1.09 oz.

Based on size, how much weight can a poly mailer hold?

Made from a robust 2 mil material, most of our poly mailers can hold up to 5 lb. – including the gusseted options. Our 6" x 9" size option, however, has a reduced weight capacity of 3 lb.

What material are poly mailer bags made of?

Our poly mailers are made of budget-friendly polyethylene. This plastic material is durable, flexible and weather- and tear-resistant. We also offer a slightly thinner yet durable material option that’s compostable, after you tear open the mailer and throw away the perforated flap.

Are these materials compostable?

Some, not all. Our poly material isn’t, but our compostable option is – after you tear open the mailer and throw away the perforated flap. With proper conditions, this material will break down into non-toxic, organic matter. This is a mindful alternative to traditional disposal and a great way to help reduce your environmental impact.

I love that I can get branded poly mailers fpr my small business from Vistaprint, but they definitely have some critical issues. The side seams of several of the bags have split on me when I've been packing them. This is obviously concerning when you're sending out paid orders to customers in bags wondering if the seams will hold. . The sealing strip is also pretty weak. You can reopen these bags with no effort at all, I always have to tape the flap down, or position the shipping label over the flap to secure it. Annoying issues for bags that cost as much as they do.

Mailers were decent, but they are covered in barcodes from Vistas manufacturing process. This should be mentioned prior to ordering. This made them un-usable for me. The customer service was great however, and I received a full refund for the order.

Keep in mind when you order these that you need to size much higher than you think because it's basically two pieces of plastic stitched together. Good for paper or maybe a DVD. I ordered 6x9 mailers thinking that would be enough for a small 5x8 paperback book, but it was not nearly enough. I should have went with the 12x9 and maybe gusset option. Just disappointed that I have these pretty expensive items that are not of use to me now.
