If you\u2019re looking to create awareness with local media outlets, issuing a press release can be a great way to achieve that exposure. Once you\u2019ve determined this is the right way to share your news, make sure your press release includes each of the following elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Headline and subhead<\/li><li>Informative opening paragraph<\/li><li>A compelling quote<\/li><li>Additional details<\/li><li>Boilerplate<\/li><li>Contact information<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, we&#8217;ll use Blake&#8217;s Fresh Catch to demonstrate how to write a press release. Examples of each section of the press release appear in blue boxes&#8230;and we&#8217;ll put it all together at the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Attention-grabbing headline and subheadline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the most important part of your press release and it cannot be overlooked. It\u2019s at this point the editor or reporter will decide to continue reading or not. While you want your headline to grab attention, it\u2019s important that it does so while also explaining exactly what your announcement is about. This isn\u2019t the time to be overly creative or vague.
